PCBA Foundation President David Adams and Vice President Mike Hickman presented a $6,000 check to the Polk County High School Construction Academies on October 12, 2021, with Superintendent Frederick Heid accepting on behalf of the six construction academies.
Hickman Homes is dedicated to promoting careers in the construction industry with President Mike Hickman being a founding member of the PCBA Foundation since 2004. The Foundation supports many activities including school field trips, mentorships, classroom speakers and the Future Builders of America Clubs in Polk’s high schools.
“Polk County has exemplified themselves across the state with their creation of our career academies. The construction program is a cohesive and well-thought out curriculum teaching real-world skills that have produced many remarkable young professionals as a result,” Hickman said.
